Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without
wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

Hebrews 10:23 ESV

While I cannot recall the many sermons I have heard in detail, I can remember several hymns. Awe-inspiring lyrics with majestic melodies find me like a long-lost friend appearing just when needed most. Recently, John Rippon's hymn, How Firm a Foundation, flooded my soul as I reflected on the events of the past year.

"Fear not, I am with thee; O be not dismayed,
For I am thy God and will still give thee aid.
I'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,
Upheld by My righteous, omnipotent hand."

No matter how turbulent our circumstances may be, this wonderful hymn reminds us that God is firmly in control, and He will continue to accomplish His will through His people. Such truth was made evident to us during the pandemic upheaval of 2020. Despite the challenges wrought by COVID-19, God provided the means to meet and exceed our international budget to facilitate 78 projects in 27 countries.
