Nigeria: Nankpak's Story of Survival and Healing Provides Comfort to Persecuted Christians

More followers of Jesus are killed for their faith in Nigeria than any other country in the world. Every year, thousands of Nigerian Christians die at the hands of militants who are determined to turn Africa’s most populous nation into an Islamic state. The suffering is great, but the resilient faith of our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ demonstrate that God’s power is greater.

Greg Musselman, the Minister-at-Large for Voice of the Martyrs Canada, brings us the tragic yet inspiring story of a young Nigerian man named Nankpak Kumzwam. Greg first met Nankpak at a Christian orphanage in 2007, five years after the boy had lost his parents and two siblings to Islamic terrorists during an attack on his village in Plateau State. More than 17 years later, Greg reunites with Nankpak to hear his incredible story of forgiveness and healing. The young man also shares how, today, he draws from his own testimony and past experiences to bring greatly needed help, comfort and hope to others, especially children.
