In a March 18 news release, Compass Direct also confirms that Semere Zaid has been released on bail. Zaid, a lecturer in agriculture at the University of Asmara, was arrested in early February. It is reported that Zaid was given warnings to not participate in any evangelical activities in the future.
The Voice of the Martyrs thanks those who have prayed for the release of these Christians. Continue to pray for the many Eritrean Christians still held in various prisons and military camps because of their faith in Christ.
