According to Middle East Concern, Iranian prisoner Homayoun Shokouhi has finally been released from jail prior to the completed term. Homayoun was originally arrested during a raid on a house church during February of 2012 in which eight Christians were sentenced with harsher terms. As one of the four who were sentenced to a 44-month prison term (which was due to expire in October), the incarcerated believer had been released last November, only to be ordered back to prison when his bail conditions were cancelled. Thankfully, with this latest report, we can now rejoice over the release of all those who were arrested during the 2012 raid. More information can be found at this page and this page.

  • Pray for Iran

As the Gospel message goes forth over the airwaves, may the growth of the church continue to multiply despite persecution. Pray that the Iranian government will be open to change, allowing full rights and protection for its non-Muslim citizens as well. In the meantime, may those who are forced to flee the country find safe refuge and help so they can live in peace and worship the Lord with freedom.
