“PRAYING FOR THE PERSECUTED”
Thank you for your continued faithfulness, compassion and partnership in praying for our Christian brothers and sisters who suffer persecution for the sake of righteousness. This week's special video edition of the Persecution & Prayer Alert focusses on the importance of prayer.
As Greg Musselman interviews Carl Villesche, head of Community Relations for the Voice of the Martyrs Canada, three heartfelt cries from persecuted believers are highlighted:
- Don't forget about us.
- Don't write us off.
- Give us the resources we need, and we will pay the price to use them.
To help each of us to pray more effectively in the coming year, numerous online resources have been made available through VOMC's website:
To view a list of Ten Ways to Pray for the Persecuted Church, go to this page.
- Discover what God says about prayer. This list of helpful Bible passages will guide you in praying Scripturally for suffering believers.
- For further information on the current challenges facing persecuted Christians, and to learn how you can more specifically pray for those in various nations, see our interactive prayer map.
- Encourage the next generation to effectively pray for others in different countries of the world! During 2025, VOMC's interactive activity pages for children and youth titled, Table Talks, will be expanded to better serve God's people here in Canada and overseas. Click here for more details.
May God bless your faithfulness as you continue to serve Him and His persecuted people this coming year through the power of intercessory prayer. Your petitions not only transcend international time zones and country borders; more importantly, they immediately reach the very throne (and heart) of our Living God. As a result, those whom we prayerfully uphold are able to tangibly experience His ministering presence, for which they are eternally grateful!
