    On the night of January 23rd, several students at a high school beat and stabbed fellow classmates for refusing to convert to Islam. Tensions had been growing for weeks at Jamhuri High School in northern Nairobi due to the complaints of the Muslim students -- primarily of Somali, Boran and Oromo descent -- complaining of discrimination. Due to the increasing hostilities, the boarding school had allegedly designated separate bathrooms and sections in the library to accommodate both the Christian and Muslim students.

    Residents of Roum village, in the Far North Region of Cameroon, were abruptly awoken on the night of January 16th as blazing fires engulfed two churches and numerous homes in their village community. Boko Haram militants, who had stormed the village late that night, has claimed responsibility for the attack, in which four villagers were killed.

    Born in a devout Muslim home, Jacob was required as a child to attend special Quran classes every evening. As the years passed by, he became further entrenched in his studies, and strictly observed the call to prayer five times a day. However, one night he had a powerful dream that altered the trajectory of his life. In the dream, a Man told him that he would be "a good servant one day." Although Jacob did not fully understand what this meant, his thoughts immediately turned to Christianity.
